When September Ends: Things To Do in Fall 2021!

Vienna's famous hiking trails will lead you into a world of golden light and through every shade of yellow, red and brown imaginable. All this before the path will leads you to one of the city's beloved "Heuriger", famous for their delicious and affordable wine offerings.

But what else can you do this October in the beautiful city in Vienna?

Sports enthusiasts can see their favorite tennis idols like Stefanos Tsitsipas or Alexander Zverev live in action! The internationally established indoor tournament "Erste Bank Open" (ATP 500, October 23rd to 31st) brings these top-players to Vienna Stadthalle which is just a 15 minutes subway ride away from our City Hostel Vienna "Naschmarkt".

If the weather isn’t looking too good you can check out the renown Viennale film festival from October 21st to 31st. What can you expect? The whole deal! This is one of Europe’s top film festivals with glamorous premieres, galas, prizes and stars. The programme spans multiple genres and formats giving you the opportunity to see many films (usually in English or with English subtitles).

Black History Month 2021 in London

A very special month is awaiting all guests who stay at our City Hostel London: the "Black History Month" brings art, artists and their stories across London.

Munich: One Night - A Whole Lotta Shows

As you all know, the Oktoberfest has been cancelled due to Corona. Again. Maybe, this is a subtle hint for us to focus more on culture! (We can still have a drink afterwards at the womBAR in our City Hostel Munich).

Our recommendation: enjoy the "Long Night of the Museums" on October 16th (6 pm to 1 am). One ticket costs 15 € and grants admission to museums, galleries and cultural centres all over the city. There is an endless list of participating institutions – from "Amerikahaus" to "Werksviertel-Mitte Kunst".

Free rides on public transportation and with special shuttle services is included!

Budapest: High Fashion – Secondhand Outfits

Paris? New York? Milan? Budapest it is this October!

From October 11th to 17th regional designers will showcase their spring/summer 2022 collections at the "Budapest Central European Fashion Week".

If you are more into vintage clothing, there are numerous shops waiting for you like the Ludovika VNTG Shop, the Szputnyik Shop, LoveBug Vintage, Typo Showroom and Humana Vintage Boutique. Seasonal fairs like the Vintage Outfit Market also offer plenty of fancy secondhand clothes this fall. And after an intense day on the secondhand runway, you will enjoy a well-earned drink sporting your new outfit in the city center at our Wombat's City Hostel Budapest.
