Munich Tip: WinterWunderWerk runs until 8th January 2023
Right on the doorstep of our City Hostel Munich Werksviertel, you can experience the atmospheric advent fair, "WinterWunderWerk". Rich in attractions, dense with activities and a seasonal feast for the senses, this is guaranteed to be a Christmas treat.
Awash in a sea of lights and mulled wine, you’ll find a comprehensive programme packed with winter activities, festive attractions and a diverse line-up of live events.
A Magical Christmas Market takes centre stage under the brilliantly lit statue of Pegasus, a Werksviertel landmark. Until the 11th of December, there will be mulled-wine, warm treats, great gifts, hands-on activities and a varied live programme for the young and old at Knödelplatz. See the programme here.
You will also find the ice-skating rink at Knödelplatz, less than 2 minutes’ walk from Wombat's City Hostel. A generous 200sq metre in size, get ready for great music to soundtrack your frosty adventures. Afterwards, warm yourself up by sampling some of the food on offer.
The Container Collective guarantee group fun with some classic curling. About a minute away from the City Hostel in the opposite direction, here you can pretend to have a sporting ambition. If you need to improve your game, there is organic mulled wine on offer ;-)
