We had a wonderful stay at the hostel. The base and breakfast were great! Best breakfast I’ve had. Rims were clean and the tables were a nice touch! I would certainly recommend staying here to anyone!

My overall experience here was great. Everything was exactly how I expected except for the room. I don’t think I should have to make my bed. When I get there. At the very least please put the duvet cover on for guests. Also, the shower was grimey in the corners. It needs a good cleaning. It just seemed like the room needed to be wiped down and sanitized a bit.

I think that your youth hostel in Munich is just perfect, with lots of equipment for example in the kitchen, which was really useful for me. Your concept of free food when leaving is also a great idea ! Maybe you should consider putting some Wombachairs just outside of the hostel in the street, because maybe people meet here to smoke and sometimes they would maybe like to have a place to seat to continue chatting.

The hostel had a good location but its rooms were not comfortable. Hot weather day, the hostel provides only one small fan for a six person room. the sleeping experience was not good. The rest normal, nothing new

Wombat’s had everything we needed. We had the room with 6 with good beds and sheets, were everything was clean! In the room was a table and a little bathroom with toilet and shower. You even had the possibility to use the other showers or toilets if yours was busy. They also had a washingroom in the building. The reception was very all nice and professional. Ons even helped me with a funny game.

My pillow smelled a bit like vomit, the mattresses were hard and saggy as can be, the flush is so weak that it took several tries I came by bike, why is that not an option on the list?

Wombat is a good hostel. The rooms are clean og comfortable. But it can get hot there when you sleep 6 people there, Im glad there was only 13 degress at night in Munich when I stayed here. The wifi could get better, it doesnt work all the time.

Nous recommandons cette auberge de jeunesse qui se situe à 5 min à pied de la gare de Munich. L’ambiance y est conviviale, les chambres sont propres. Il y a de quoi ranger ses bagages de manière sécurisée une fois installé dans les chambres. Les pièces communes (salon, bar, cuisine) sont propres, bien équipées et agréables !

Clean rooms, friendly staff and overall nice facilities. Internet did not work at all throughout the duration of our stay and there were little odours in the hallways.

The room was not ready at 14:00. The room smells like sweat. The karaoke was very loud. Also In most hostels the staff shows you to your room and explains some things about the city and some nice restaurants etc. Here it felt more like a here’s-your-card-bye situation.

Hostel was great. Lovely atmosphere, nice commen area. One of the staff members tried to fight me do after we asked his girlfriend we’re we could get dinner. That was a bit of a bummer.

I stayed in a 6 person mixed dorm. The room was insanely hot constantly (I’m from Australia and used to the heat, but this was very bad). The fan inside the room is not even close to being sufficiently powered, and the oscillation was broken so only 2 people could even benefit from it at a time – not that they really benefitted from anything. The lockers are also a very inconvenient shape – impossible to actually access your bag whilst it’s inside the locker. Very inconvenient. Bar those two things, the wombat was great! But I could not possibly recommend to anyone. My friends and I got sick during our stay, and we think it’s largely because of the heat. Thanks to the friendly staff!

The bar area is too near to the rooms, causing noisy disturbance until 2am, when I couldnt rest. The stand fans are limited, and my room was so hot in summer weather. The location is super strategic.

The rooms were clean and cozy. Breakfast was basic but cheap and good. Common areas were very nice. WiFi worked better than in many hotels. Overall excellent! It was a little hot in the rooms, but it was July and to be expected.

Everyone that I interacted with in this hostel was polite and friendly. I did not expect the towels to be free, but that was a plus. The breakfast is simple but filling enough to give your day of travel a great start. The locker situation in the rooms is nice, and I had a fun time getting to know my roommates better and learning more about their home countries and recent travels. I’m not usually a social person, but I found the hostel atmosphere to be a welcoming environment and was able to enjoy these conversations. The receptionist was even able to help me out when I needed a tampon for swimming in the river at the Englischer Garten. As an often single female traveler, I found this to be a safe and comfortable accommodation. Overall very friendly and clean environment.

The stay was amazing. The rooms and ambience was fantastic. Overall Perfect place to stay in Munich. Best part just 2 mint walk from Hauptbhanhof

Common areas and bar were really good, also loved the breakfast plenty of variety but wow those bedrooms are ridiculously hot. The huge glass windows with the sun beeming in all day means it’s like an oven when you get back at night after being out exploring all day. Couldn’t get any sleep and one fan is really not enough for 6 people to share with

The hostel was very much ok. It had comfy beds with clean sheets and the room felt pretty clean. The only problems were the wifi was terrible (pretty much unusable) and the rooms were super hot. Even with the windows open without a/c the rooms were unbelievably hot in July. Other than that and the really smelly hallway’s it was a perfectly ok hostel.

The hostel is okay, quite social. But the smell in the bathrooms at the reception, in the second elevation and the room was really horrible. Please try leave some fresh air in there

The staff were helpful and friendly. In a good location and the room was clean, but that is the only positive things I have to say. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. For 108€ it is better to stay in a hotel with better beds in a quieter environment and for breakfast included in a similar location. Additionally the internet is terrible to the point of unusable. Way overpriced for what you are getting. I will never stay here again and I will never recommend this establishment.

Das WLAN ist nicht nutzbar. Es bricht permanent zusammen und funktioniert nur in seltenen Fällen überhaupt mal. Wenn es dann funktioniert ist die Geschwindigkeit ein Trauerspiel. Denn mehr als 2mbit hatten wir nie. Irgendwas im Internet machen über das WLAN wird so zur Geduldsprobe wenn es überhaupt funktioniert. Das Zimmer (Twin Room) selbst ist ok, der Preis für das gebotene aber zu hoch. 80€ wären ein fairer Preis. Aber nicht 108€, dafür kriegt man auch ein Doppelzimmer im Hotel inkl. Frühstück direkt in der Nachbarschaft. Wir waren nur hier, weil wir bereits 2019 einmal im Hostel waren. Aber das Geld hätten wir besser für eine andere Unterkunft ausgegeben. Zum positiven, das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Unsere Fragen wurden freundlich beantwortet und da kann ich mich nicht beklagen. Liebes Wombats Team, ich hoffe ihr kriegt euer größtes Problem das Internet nach fast 4 Jahren endlich mal in den Griff. Vernünftiges und ausreichend schnelles Internet ist auch mit über 60 Zimmern eine Möglichkeit die einfach erwartet wird. Mich seht ihr erst wieder wenn ihr eure Baustellen gefixt habt. Das sollte ja machbar sein bei der Auslastung die ihr anscheinend habt (und uns als Grund für das mangelhafte Internet genannt wurde).
