From 11–16 May 2026, Vienna will host Europe's biggest music spectacle. And when Eurovision comes to town, the entire city becomes a stage for a diverse and international party crowd that is passionate, loud, proud, and incredibly friendly.

Events Across the City: Vienna's ESC Festival

Eurovision week isn't just about the main shows at the Stadthalle. (Tickets have sold out across all nine shows, in record time!) Vienna is planning a city-wide festival that will make every corner of town pulse with music and celebration. Here are our highlights:

Euro Day and Night Cruises 

How about a Eurovision Song Contest party on the water? Starting May 9, excursion boats operated by DDSG Blue Danube will set off on multiple special cruises along the Danube. They will offer drinks, snacks, and plenty of Eurovision Song Contest hits.

Eurovision Village at Vienna's City Hall Square

Vienna’s City Hall Square once again transforms into the world’s most beautiful public screening location: The Eurovision Village on City Hall Square opens daily between May 10 and 17, from 2:00 p.m. until midnight (with DJ lineup) or until the end of the show - free of charge, until capacity limits are reached.

Don’t miss the spectacular Opening Ceremony on May 10, the only time all 35 delegations will appear together outside the Wiener Stadthalle.

Wombat’s Hood: Eurovision Market Contest

In Vienna, music and cuisine are inseparable. On May 13, in and around the market area at the Naschmarkt (yes, that’s exactly where Wombat’s City Hostel Vienna is located), you’ll find culinary specialties and live music inspired by the participating Eurovision Song Contest nations.
