We're absolutely buzzing to share some great news with you: Hostelworld has just announced the winners of their 2026 Customer Annual Ratings (HOSCARs), and Wombat’s City Hostels is proud (and pumped) to be among the award-winning hostels once again.

What are the HOSCARs?

The HOSCARs are the only global travel awards dedicated exclusively to hostels – and they’re based entirely on what really matters: guest reviews.

This year, reviews from 7 million bookings decided who made the podium. Guests rated hostels on key criteria like: overall customer experience, value for money, security, location, atmosphere, staff, cleanliness, and facilities.
