From WESTBAHNHOF

Follow the signs to underground U3/U6. Take the U6 (direction Siebenhirten) to “Längenfeldgasse” – change to U4 (direction Heiligenstadt) and get off at “Kettenbrückengasse”. Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.

From SÜDBAHNHOF

Walk to U1 “Südtiroler Platz” (5 minutes) – take the metro U1 (direction Leopoldau) and get off at “Karlsplatz”. Change to U4 (direction Hütteldorf) and get off at “Kettenbrückengasse”.
Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.

From WIEN MEIDLING (Temporary replacement station for Südbahnhof until 2012)

Take the U6 direction Floridsdorf to “Längenfeldgasse”. From here, take the U4 (direction Heiligenstadt) and get off at “Kettenbrückengasse”. Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.

From FRANZ-JOSEF-BAHNHOF

Take tram number 5 one stop to “Friedensbrücke”. Change to metro U4 (direction Hütteldorf) to “Kettenbrückengasse”. Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.

Travel time approx. 20 minutes.

 

From PRATERSTERN

Take metro U1 to Karlsplatz; from there you can take U4 direction Hütteldorf for one stop to Kettenbrückengasse. Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“. Or if your luggage is not too heavy, you can also walk from Karlsplatz to the hostel directly.

From ERDBERG

Take the metro U3 direction Ottakring until station "Landstrasse". There you switch to U4 direction Hütteldorf and get off at "Kettenbrückengasse". Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt".

Travel time approx. 25 minutes.

From the AIRPORT

The quickest option is to take the shuttle bus to “Schwedenplatz” (8 €). The cheapest option is to take the S-Bahn to “Wien Mitte” (4 €).  From “Schwedenplatz” and “Wien Mitte” you can take the U4 direction Hütteldorf to “Kettenbrückengasse”. Take exit “Kettenbrückengasse”. Cross Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.

Travel time approx. 40 minutes.

The 'City Airport Train' (CAT) to “Wien Mitte” is a little faster than the S-Bahn but costs 10 €. The CAT-Ticket is NOT valid for the underground.
