wombats CITY HOSTEL "The Lounge"

This is what wombats CITY HOSTEL no. 2 in town looks like. The hostel is situated on the main shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße, right across the main railway station Westbahnhof, only 4 stops from the city centre. The house itself is dating from 1880 and has been completely refurbished to meet the needs of nowaday’s living standard.

The Lobby

This is the chill-out zone you have been looking for throughout your travels. This destination is called comfort: it’s the perfect spot to relax, communicate, socialise, get informed and plan your days or just see what the day brings. Definitely you can meet loads of like-minded people here to share some of your time and experiences with. We have created different zones in the lobby to meet all your needs – be it the “be-all-by-yourself-shoe&laptop-free” chill-out zone or the “letting-the-others-know-how-your-travels-go” internet-terminal zone or the “make-travelling-by-yourself-an-experience-to-share” couch zone!

The Reception

This is another special zone: all these people working here do so 24/7 for your comfort! Make use of all the information they have stored in their brains and go and ask them about whatever it is you want to know. Probably not about Einstein’s relativity theory, but of course everything that is to do with city life, opening hour, recommendations and onward travels. Also if you have any requests concerning your stay: this is the people to talk to!

A private room

We offer double and twin beds, all rooms come with enhanced shower and toilet. Here you enjoy privacy among just the two of you. The exclusiveness and all the extra comfort that comes with good sleep is what you get in here.

A 4-bed room

For others comfort is to share. Share the room and the experience that comes along with the people who inhabit it – this guarantees you to be surrounded by like-mined people, even at night. For girls, we also offer girls-only dorms – to be even more like-minded, or not at all, you may find out! ;) Of course, you have enhanced shower and toilet for just the four of you, girls dorms also offer the luxury of a hair dryer.

A 6-bed room

The more, the merrier. It can be sort of comforting to surround yourself with other travellers, because the chances are high, you might meet someone to share not only room, but also days and nights with - which might lead to a good memory. Simply sharing things with people who can relate, as they go through the same adventurous experiences as you do – and yes this does include your enhanced shower and toilet, mate!

Breakfastbuffet at wombats

Living on budget doesn’t mean you can’t have lush food. We make sure you get good nutrition while you are staying with us. At our all-you-can-eat continental breakfast buffet, it is you who chooses, just what and how much you want to have and what’s the food that’s especially comforting for you and makes you fit for the day.

Our womBar

The only comfort round here is Southern Comfort, my dear! Which isn’t true, we don’t even offer this! This is our comfort-free zone, open for all kind of parties, noises and liquids available world-wide. Nothing’s too discomforting to be lived and presented here. Give your comfort-loving a break and turn into a party animal whose greatest comfort is TO BREAK FREE!
