This charming romantic comedy, set in an elegant Washington hotel suite, with an hilarious mix of love, theatre, politics and art, revolves around the middle-aged and self-absorbed movie star Veronica Fairchild. Veronica has agreed to co-star in a stage production of Hedda Gabler opposite her favourite ex-husband Philip. But when she becomes engaged to a conservative senator whilst Philip courts their attractive director, Mallory, sparks begin to fly. Tension rises as rehearsals progress and seem to be inexorably heading towards an opening night disaster. When her gay assistant gets involved with a controversial photographic artist, who has just been denounced by “her” senator, Veronica has to try and sort out her somewhat complicated love life...!
