Accordion Festival 2008 / 04.03.08
Like every year, one of the most unusual but probably one of the most interesting music festivals in Vienna offers unforgettable mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Ten years ago the idea of devoting an entire month to such an underestimated instrument might have provoked some ridicule. But the accordion festival team convinced a great number of people that this instrument feels quite at home in all musical styles – from tango to Klezmer and jazz.
Some facts: 220 artists from 30 countries offer 47 concerts (including 15 double concerts) during the International Accordion Festival Vienna 2008.
