From Westbahnhof

Take the „Europa Platz“ exit and cross the big 4-lane street (Gürtel). Take either the 6 or 18 tram to “Margaretengürtel” station. Walk to the underground station and take the U4 U-bahn direction Heiligenstadt and get off at “Kettenbrückengasse” station. Walk out of the station in the same direction the train was driving. Cross over Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.
Travel time approx. 12 minutes.

From Wien Meidling (Temporary replacement station for Südbahnhof until 2012)

Ride the U6 direction Floridsdorf to “Längenfeldgasse” station. From here, take the U4 direction Heiligenstadt and get off at “Kettenbrückengasse” station.  Walk out of the station in the same direction the train was driving. Cross over Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.
Travel time approx. 12 minutes.

From Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof

Take tram number 5 one stop to „Friedensbrücke". From there, take the U4 direction Hütteldorf to “Kettenbrückengasse”. Leave the station in the same direction the train was driving. Cross over Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.
Travel time approx. 20 minutes.

From the Airport

The quickest option is to take the shuttle but to Wien Mitte (10€). The cheapest option is to take the S-Bahn to Bahnhof (train station) Wien Mitte and from there the U4 direction Hütteldorf to “Kettenbrückengasse”. Leave the station in the same direction the train was driving. Cross over Kettenbrückengasse and Rechte Wienzeile. Turn left and walk the last 100 meters to wombat’s CITY HOSTEL Vienna at „The Naschmarkt“.
Travel time approx. 40 minutes.

The "City Airport Train" (CAT) is a couple of minutes faster than the S-Bahn but costs 10€ (return ticket:18€).  The CAT-Ticket is not valid for the U-Bahn!!
