Cineastes and casual popcorn munchers alike will be treated to international productions and rare reels at the Filmfest München
The attention of the international movie scene will largely be focused on Filmfest München until July 4. The Filmfest is Germany's most important summer film festival, featuring everything from major cinematic accomplishments to exotic motion pictures. The offerings will be presented in themed groups. Categories will include "American Independents," "Focus on the Far East" and "New German Cinema." Under the motto "Small Heroes, Great Missions" the festival also will present a number of movies for young moviegoers. Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the Filmfest box office at Gasteig, or online at www.filmfest-muenchen.de.
