Ai Weiwei in New York – Photographs 1983-1993 / 05.12.2011
First German exhibition for the controversial Chinese artist
Running til March 18th, this huge exhibition hosted by the Martin-Gropius-Bau in cooperation with Three Shadows Photography Art Center of Bejing and Chambers Fine Art of New York will be the german debut for the most famous chinese contemporary artist. A selection of photos (220 out of over 10000 pictures!) from the New York years, dating 1983 - 1993, has been curated by Ai Weiwei himself.
