Hallo
LG
Boris

I stayed at Wombats for 3 nights in January 2008 alongwith my wife and adult daughter. The location is fantastic - just 5 minutes walk from the main railway station (well connected from airport by bus) and just next to main and most important thoroughfare and tourist destination in Vienna.
The hostel is very well managed. Its very, very clean, and equally secure. I had no experience of rowdiness or shouting or disturbance. The room was very comfortable, the beds were nice and the toilet was very clean.
Recommend this hostel to anyone and everyone who is looking for a decent and budget place to stay in Vienna and ready to obey a few important, and relevant house rules of the hostel like "No smoking" or eating in the room. Also, its comfortable for people of all ages.
There is a fine restaurant, a bar on the ground floor and one gets towels and linen without any additional payment.
Look forward to going back to Wombats again.
Keep up the good job guys and open a hostel in every city in Europe.

Wombat's is one of the best hostels you can find! It's very clean, a really nice lounge where you can meet backpackers from all over the world, no stupid curfews, all in all a pretty cool place. To top it all they have a very lively bar which is open till 2, plays some great music and has very friendly bartenders (especially Lucia, who was there when I stayed)
A must visit place in Vienna! :)

Natürlich kannst du in beide Häuser rein!
Also dann hoffentlich auf bald in Wien!
Grüße aus der Lounge

The coolest hostel I've been to. Clean, safe and central. Just a bit loud, but well... earplugs will do.
Had a very pleasant stay, thx a lot!

I had stayed at Wombats near the Westbahnof in Jan for a few days alongwith my wife and daughter. Its a wonderful hostel...very neat and clean, organized and free from all kind of rowdism.
Its very centrally located near the most important commercial centre of the city and near to the palace and museum.
I recommend it fully...and just for everyone's information, I was 54 when I went to Wombats..So you can guess, this hostel is good for the young as well as the old.
