Hallo! Ich suche nach einem gemuetlichen Gaestehaus/Hostel in Wien, fuer 7 Uebernachtungen im Maerz. Wir sind zwei Erwachsene und moechten gerne ein Doppelzimmer /lieber mit Doppelbett/, mit Dusche und WC. Was wuerden Sie mir empfehlen? Wir kommen zum ersten Mal nach Oesterreich.

Wombat's is one of the best hostels you can find! It's very clean, a really nice lounge where you can meet backpackers from all over the world, no stupid curfews, all in all a pretty cool place. To top it all they have a very lively bar which is open till 2, plays some great music and has very friendly bartenders (especially Lucia, who was there when I stayed)
A must visit place in Vienna! :)

The coolest hostel I've been to. Clean, safe and central. Just a bit loud, but well... earplugs will do.

I had stayed at Wombats near the Westbahnof in Jan for a few days alongwith my wife and daughter. Its a wonderful hostel...very neat and clean, organized and free from all kind of rowdism.
Its very centrally located near the most important commercial centre of the city and near to the palace and museum.
I recommend it fully...and just for everyone's information, I was 54 when I went to Wombats..So you can guess, this hostel is good for the young as well as the old.

this hostel was great, clean, big, good bar. i stayed here back in the middle of june (of 08) and met someone called zach from california, but didnt see him again, very random but i guess no one knows who he is? if u do, tell me thanks! :)

Excellent place, i've spent there two nights in July. Pleasant atmosphere, great bar. Clean and safe. Big hug to all the Wombat crew for that!

But the real treasure there are the members of the team, who really make Wombat's shine.
Special mention to Lucia, who's probably the nicest and funniest bar-woman I've ever met.
