I wanten reservate room for me and my friends for 23 and 24 July. But is this possible for us to stay in one room?We are 5,and when I was booking,the machine separated us for two rooms. So I haven't booked.
And one more question. Is the free parking space next to the hostel?

Hi , please just send an email to our booking desk, they can try to put you all together..
There is no hostel parking space, but there is space around the hostel. Parking in the district is free. (apart from Mariahilferstraße, the mainstreet)

hello! i stumbled on your site accidentally and this seems like a fun place to be! i would like to stay here and am just wondering how far is The Base from the nearest metro station? is it a 5 ~10 min walk? thank you!

Yes; from Wombats "The Base" you walk around 7 minutes to the next metro station called "Westbahnhof".

We don't have any age limit in general, as long as your mom wants to stay in a hostel and knows that it is sometimes connected with people partying the whole night long, it is ok for us.

Of course it is possible to stay alone in a private room, but you gonna have to pay the room rate, i.e. 58€.

Hallo! Föns kann man gegen Pfand jederzeit ausleihen. Fernseher auf den Zimmer haben wir nicht. Das ist unserer Meinung nicht im Sinne des Hostelprinzips. Die Gäste sollen die Sehenswürdigkeiten Wiens entdecken und sich untereinander in unseren Gemeinschaftsbereichen kennenlernen und austauschen.
Es gibt allerdings in der Bar einen Fernseher aufdem man tagsüber (bis 18:00) gerne etwas entspannen kann..

Is it possible to book a private room for 5 persons?

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children and would like to stay in Vienna in the summer.
If I need to pay for six persons, that is fine, but we would like just a room for ourselves.

Yes, this is possible, we have 6 bed dormitories and if you want to have the room for yourselves you just need to pay for 6 persons and then it is all yours.

wir besuchen euch bald und wollten wissen, ob es auf euren pcs softwares wie skype oä gibt, um zu telefonieren... ( oder vll münztelefone ...was auch immer) da es mit den tarifen von A nach D nich so rosig aussieht...

Auf unseren PCs ist kein Skype oder ähnliches installiert, da dadurch die Gäste wesentlich länger am PC sitzen würden nd andere leute dann nicht zum Computer können.
Münztelefon haben wir aber selbstverständlich; ausserdem gibt es in der näheren Umgebung callcenter, die besonders günstige telefonkarten nach deutschland anbieten. frag einfach, wenn du ankommst an der Rezeption, die sagen dir dann, wo das genau ist.

Prinzipiell haben wir keinen eigenen Parkplatz, aber die Strassen und Gassen rund um unser Hostel sind größtenteils keine Kurzparkzone (Kurzparkzone ist nur auf den großen Hauptstrassen). Manchmal muss man vielleicht 5 Minuten suchen bis man einen Parkplatz findet, aber es haben schlussendlich noch alle einen gefunden;-)

Nein, Bettwäsche musst du nicht mitnehmen, die bekommst du bei uns gratis.
in jedem Zimmer gibt es natürlich auch Steckdosen, wo du deine elektrischen Geräte aufladen kannst.

Unfortunately we don´t have TV in our rooms, but in our bar we have a video wall where guests use to watch certain sports events, etc., so if you have a special event you want to see you can ask our bar staff to activate the video wall for you.

Hi everyone! I have one question... Is The Base wheelchair friendly? I'm disabled and search some cheaper accomodation in Vienna,this looks very affordable,but always the same problem... is it accesible for me?... 2-3 stairs aren't problem,there's always someone to help... but if there's no room on the ground or elevator,that is usually problem...!

No worries, our hostel has an elevator and the entrance has no stairs. We have two wheelchair-friendly double rooms in that they are having bath tubs instead of the usual showers.

Wir sind am Samstag zurück gekommen aus Wien und haben wirklich eine Hammerzeit bei euch gehabt letzte Woche. Wir vermissen Wien und vor allem die WomBar schon ;-). Die Mitarbeiter vor allem an der Rezeption und Bar waren ganz nett!

Thank you guys, your hostel was and is absolutelty fabulous. We have enjoyed our stay!
