Cunning Wombat's Advise: Take the Short-Distance-Cab! / 18.08.08
When going through the city's aweful nightlife, you may want to take a cab. There is a little trick tourists normally don't get to know: Don't go to the "Taxi Stand", but rather beckon a free one and say you want a "Kurzstrecke" or short trip. The driver'll then only charge you 3,50 for a let's say 10 minutes drive which normally would be more expensive but will then stop or begin to charge the regular fee.
Really a good thing for small backpacker's budgets ;)
