Take a look behind the iron curtain that divided Berlin in two.

While the history of divided Berlin is world-famous, the scenes that took place behind the iron curtain remain shrouded with mystery. Take a look in the world that was known as the GDR at the photography exhibition in the Berlin museum of modern art.The exhibition displays the art works of 34 photographers in the GDR. The different parts let you take a peek in the daily life and the photo art that thrived in the communistic era. Disenchanted young artists experiment with photo techniques to show their emotion in this unique time. A real must-see exposure that gives a visual insight in life in the GDR by never-shown material!

ADMISSION

Day ticket 8 Euro

Every 1st Monday of the month: 4 Euro

Reduced admission with a ticket from the Jewish Museum Berlin on the day of visit and the next two days. This offer is effective vice versa.

The exhibition runs till the 28th of January.
