welcome @ Wombats City Hostel Berlin!

That´s our brand-new custom-built all-mod-cons spacecraft. Err, hostel! We opened on February 15, 2008. We´re just a short walk from Alexanderplatz (the main square); an underground stop is just around the corner, as well as a few tramway and bus stops (these lines run all night).
The hostel is equipped with many amenities, among them an own restaurant as well as a guest kitchen in case you prefer to frizzle something for yourself. The womBar is on top (level 7) where you can enjoy killer views over Berlin´s skyline and Berliner beer (brewed under the German Purity Law to avoid hangovers).

All rooms come with an own toilet and shower - no stupid push-button things like in other hostels.  There is an individual metal locker for everyone. It´s big enough for an entire backpack and locks with your electronic room key.

Most of our rooms come with six beds - big, bright and clean. There are also girls-only-dorms. By the way: all beds have a reading light and a power outlet to recharge your cellphone, iPod and light sabre.

Apartment

Have you ever seen something like that in a Hostel?
We have five apartments - every one about 40 square meters (400 square feet) big. They come with a big comfy couch, own bathroom, kitchen, separate bedroom and a little loggia. We think that´s as extravagant as a stay in a hostel will ever get.

Guest Kitchen

No hostel is complete without a mellow kitchen scene! There is everything you need: two large fridges, oven, stove, microwave and of course the whole set of instruments a skilled chef like you needs! Please mind we´re not your mom, so don´t leave a mess - no big deal because there is also a dishwasher.

Hint: if your eyes were bigger than your stomach share with us - we are hungry, too! :-)

The view from our rooftop terrace.

The "Fernsehturm" stands on the main square (Alexanderplatz) - it was finished in 1969 and is Berlin´s prime landmark. 368 metres high, it´s the fourth tallest structure in Europe. Three taller towers were built in the former Soviet Union - apparently East Germany´s government wanted to state they´re cooler than the West, but not as cool as their masters in Moscow.

The womBar

We know what it´s like being on the road all day, seeing the sights and all that walking and more walking, so it´s cool to have a nice vibe at the hostel where you can have a few drinks, talk and make new friends. This will make your stay a memorable one!
The womBar is open from 6pm until 2am daily. Happy hours are between 6pm and 8pm.
