Open air opera and/or street jazz in Kreuzberg! / 25.06.2012

All happening this weekend (29.6 - 01.7) for free!!!

What a weekend this weekend! And not only for football fans, apparently!

Once a year the Staatsoper organizes a free open air Opera weekend in the beautiful Bebelplatz, in the heart of the historical Berlin (and yeah, a few minutes´ walk from us!).  On Saturday the 30th of June at 7 pm the Schiller Theater company will present Mozart´s "Don Giovanni", while on Sunday the 1st of July at 1 pm the Staatskapelle Orchestra will perform a selection of Tschaikowsky´s most famous concerts. Get some more infos here and keep an umbrella at hand!

And now Kreuzberg: the infamous Bergmanstrasse Street Festival will bring you over 50 bands on 3 different stages for 3 days straight! That´s street jazz marathon right here, friday to sunday with local and international jazz combos. And of course, food, drinks and fine people: when it comes to partying in the streets, the Berliners know their business.
