Berlinale film festival / 08.02.2012

For the 62nd time the well known Berlinale film festival comes to Berlin.

Once again one of the most important film festivals of the world takes place in Berlin. Between the 8th and 18th of February the Berlinale will show around 400 films, mostly international or European premieres and awaits for this event as spectacular guests as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, Clint Eastwood, Diane Kruger, Jennifer Lopez.

 

In their programme you will find films of almost every genre, length and format organized in different sections: big budget, international cinema in the so called category: Competition, smaller independent and art house movies in Panorama, films for young audiences in Generation, new discoveries and promising talents from the German film scene in Perspektive Deutsches Kino, avant garde, experimental and unfamiliar cinematography in the Forum, and an exploration of cinematic possibilities in Berlinale Shorts. Besides the screening the festival will be rounded by workshops, panel discussions, joint projects with other social and cultural actors as well as the European Film Market (EFM), where about 400 companies and 7000 professionals from 90 countries exhibit, build and foster contacts.
